Miner's Aren't Dumb... But They Have a Blind Spot

Miners deserve all Americans’ appreciation and support almost as much as our Military Vets. Miners almost single handedly gave America the power we needed to grow as much as we did last century and become the financial powerhouse we are.

Now that we need to reduce our use of coal and move to cleaner sources of energy, we should give miners everything they need to move on, including:
1. Extended unemployment benefits - perhaps a declining amount over 5-10 years.
2. A large number of retraining facilities in their communities. Miners are easily capable to learning how to build and assemble most types of equipment.
3. The State and Federal Governments should offer sweet deals to attract new manufacturing and assembly into the coal communities. It would be awesome to get the new energy companies to move their manufacturing facilities to the coal areas with its readily available workforce.
4. The State and Federal Governments should make sure there are Community Colleges in every coal community. Either the miners or their spouses could take advantage of them, and perhaps learn accounting, marketing, or whatever they desire.

Sidenote: I was in favor of doing similar things for tobacco farmers in North Carolina when we wanted to reduce the supply of cigarettes. I still think we should stamp out all farming of tobacco and help the farmers transition to other crops that earn them as much money.

So what’s miners' blind spot?

Most miners think electing Republicans is in their best interests. However, they are wrong. When the GOP says they want to reduce taxes and the size of government, the result will be the government will not have enough money, or staff, to do anything. So despite the encouraging words you hear from the GOP, they have no desire to spend money to help anyone. They believe it’s everyone for themselves.

Democrats (like me) are not only willing to pay more taxes to help miners, we think it’s our duty!

Evangelical Christians Are Strong Supporters of Israel... but

Evangelical Christians are strong supporters of Israel… to the point of depicting Palestinians as the enemy.
(note: GOP officials often echo this support, but all GOP Presidents change their tune when they enter the White House and face the reality that such a policy would create economic and likely armed conflicts with all Arab and Muslim countries around the world. Reality sucks doesn’t it :)

So if they support Israel so strongly, why have they (and their parents, grandparents, etc.) always tried to keep Jews out of their Board Rooms, men’s clubs, country clubs, Universities, etc.? It seems as if they love Israel, but hate Jews. How could this be?

Well, the answer is relatively easy to understand… the Bible.

Evangelical Christians believe Israel must exist for Jesus to come back and save the world:

When I hear the GOP tout how strongly they support Israel, I cannot ignore the way many of them feel about me personally and all other Jews in the US.

An Easy Way to Understand What America Just Did... and What's to Come

Trump is Contractor #6 in the story below:

You live in Florida where it never gets very cold. In your living room, there is an 8 ft. wall with sliding glass doors that open to your ‘outside’ glassed-in Florida Room. You want to remove the wall so the living room becomes bigger and encompasses the glassed-in Florida Room.

You ask 6 contractors to look at your house and bid on the job.

Five of them come out, spend 1-2 hours looking and measuring and taking many photos. Two weeks later, all of their bids say the wall is ‘load bearing’ and will need a major structural effort to remove it. The bids range in cost from $12,000 - $18,000.

The sixth contractor calls you and says he can’t make it, but he is sending his son. His son shows up, stays about 10 minutes, and leaves. He looks about 19 years old. His father calls you later that day and says it’s a small job, no problem, and will only cost $4,000. You mention what the other contractors said about the ‘load-bearing’ issue, and he dismisses it and says "trust me”.

You decide to go with the 6th contractor to save money. Welcome to President Trump.

Epilog:

The ceiling above where the wall used to be buckles. You call the 6th contractor and he says it must be your fault. Sue me if you want… I have a lot of very good lawyers.”

It costs $25,000 to make repairs, which the city requires that you do.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what will Trump be like as President? In the story below, he is the new football coach:

Your city's football team coach just retired after a good season with a 9-3 record and making the play-offs. A new coach is hired who promises to win the Super Bowl his first year as coach.

Towards the end of the first year, the team's record is 4-6. The new coach says don't worry, this is a building year and he had to undo all the bad stuff the previous coach had done (even though the record was 9-3 last year). He says, trust him... they will win the Super Bowl next year.

The second year is no better with a final record of 5-7. The coach says the owner is to blame because he wouldn't pay enough for good players.

The third year is even worse ending at 3-9. The coach continues to blame the owner but also says many of the players are lazy and not willing to work hard.

By the end of the fourth bad year, the owner and fans have had enough, and they fire the coach. The coach goes on TV and blames everyone who was involved with the team as well as the fans.

Prediction:

Trump will blame anyone he can when he falls short of his poorly thought out claims.

War On Christmas... again

It’s December, so I guess FOX NEWS will be telling us about the War on Christmas… again.

It doesn’t matter of course that no one in America has ever been inhibited from celebrating Christmas when, where or how they want. It only matters that when they go shopping they hear “Have a happy holiday” sometimes rather than “Merry Christmas”, and that means people want to kill Christmas.

Please follow along this short story —

A family of Christians took a Christmas trip to Egypt to see the pyramids and other wonderful sites there. Everywhere they went whether shopping, touring, eating, etc. people told them “enjoy the birth of the prophet” (which is celebrated by Muslims typically around Christmas). Even though the country is about 10% Christian, no mention of Christmas is ever heard. And the only place they might have seen a Christmas tree was in the lobby of their hotel, but it was so small and out of the way, most people never saw it.

This same family goes back to Egypt for another vacation 10 years later. This time in a few places they hear “Have a happy holiday.” So… should Muslims take this as an attack on Islam? Or is it simply a courtesy to the small minority of non-Muslims who also live there?

You decide!

Electoral College - It Needs to Go...

Trump won the Presidential election following our current rules. But was it fair?

Before 1920, Presidents were elected using the then current rules, but since women were not allowed to vote, were the rules fair? No, of course not.

Are the rules fair now? Given the current makeup of the Electoral College number of votes by State, no, of course not. Small states get a disproportionate greater number of votes than their population would indicate they should. And larger populated states get a disproportionate fewer number of votes than their population would indicate they should.

The Electoral College was originally created to appease the Slave States. That reason no longer exists, but an unintended consequence has been to favor small states over large states. So if you live in New York or California or Texas, your Presidential vote counts ‘less’ than if you live in Missouri or South Dakota or New Hampshire. This is of course not fair.

How could we fix it? There are two options; #1 goes part of the way, and #2 goes all the way.

Option #1:
Update the number of votes each state gets in the Electoral College to the percentage of its population to America’s total population. This would improve the fairness to at least give each state’s voters the same value. Smaller states would lose 1-2 Electoral College votes, and larger states would gain a few. The 2016 Presidential election would have been much closer although Trump may still have won (not sure of the exact numbers).

This option is still not completely fair in my opinion because it keeps the unfairness caused in states who are very Blue or very Red. Republicans voting in New York, and Democrats voting in Texas, might as well go on vacation rather than vote for President since they have no impact on the election.

Option #2:
Eliminate the Electoral College and elect the President based on everyone’s vote. This is the fairest!

This is exactly how each state elects their Senators, counting all votes within the state. They don’t elect their Senator by who wins the most state ‘districts’, which is a direct analogy to how the Electoral College works. If a state tried to change to the ‘district’ approach, there would be an uproar against it. So why do we keep the Electoral College?

So if this makes so much sense, will it happen?

Well, the GOP has an unfair advantage using the current rules, so I guess they will resist it. But America has always moved towards being more fair. It took many, many decades for women to get the vote once they started pushing for it. Let’s start a very active campaign to eliminate the Electoral College… and never let up until it happens! Get your children involved… it may take a generation.

Blue States vs Red States

This was forwarded to me.
———————————---

Dear Red States:
We're ticked off at the way you've treated California and we've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country and we're taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren’t aware that includes Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, D.C., Delaware and all the Northeast.

You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.

We get stem cell research and the best beaches.

We get Intel, Apple and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.

We get Harvard.

You get Ole' Miss.

We get 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs.

You get Alabama.

We get two-thirds of the tax revenue.

You get to make the red states pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian Coalition’s, we get a bunch of happy families.

You get a bunch of single moms.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the country’s fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America's quality wines, 90% of the high tech industry, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.

With the Red States, you will have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans and their projected health care costs, 92% of all US mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

38% of those in the Red States believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we’re discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% think that Saddam was involved in 9/11, and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.

We're taking the good pot too. You can have that dirt weed they grow in Mexico… IF YOU CAN GET IT OVER THE WALL!

How Will Democrats Win in 2020?

Easy...

We will nominate Jon Stewart for President and he will name Elizabeth Warren as his VP running mate.

End of story...

P.S. I am very serious!

Why Worry About the "Alt-Right" Now That Trump Will Be President?

With Trump’s election, if you are a woman, a minority and/or an immigrant, you have reason to worry. If you are none of these, we need your help in fighting the White Supremacists who call themselves the “alt-right.” Please keep reading…

• Trump made Steve Bannon the CEO of his election campaign, and now he is Trump’s Chief Strategist.
• Steve Bannon declared his Breitbart News Network “the platform for the alt-right” in 2016.

• About the Alt-Right:
It's bound together by common enemiesWomen, minorities, immigrants and national institutions that, by their worldview, threaten the freedom of white men with the toxic sword of political correctness.

In its eyes, the straight white man is actually the victim, the ultimate oppressed class in Western society. It believes the world is actually run by women who use sex and victimhood to gain influenceminorities who live fat off the tax dollars of white peoplea corrupt media that advances a poisonous progressive agenda and wealthy Jews who control everything from the shadows.

Alt-righters call waking up to this inconvenient truth "red pilling." Visiting an online hub for the alt-right and asking to be “red pilled" on some particular subject is, in essence, requesting that someone initiate you into their conspiracy theory. But often, a red-pilling can happen to you whether you like it or not. When the alt-right wants to spread its message of hate and destroy its opponents all in one fell swoop, its members use Twitter trolling and radical, racist memes — aiming to “red pill" as many as they can before it's too late.

• Example of What They Have Done and Will Continue To Do:
If you google The Daily Stormer, you’ll see a headline that boasts it’s the “World’s #1 Alt-Right and Pro-Genocide Website.” The website regularly defends Adolf Hitler, attacks “kikes,” and has a section documenting the “Jewish Problem.”

The Daily Stormer (see similarity to Stormtrooper) wanted to get a GQ reporter for an article they called unfair to Melania Trump, telling its readers to “go ahead and send [the reporter] a tweet and let her know what you think of her dirty kike trickery.” She said she then received an onslaught of anti-Semitic messages and death threats, which she described as “the most obscene, anti-Semitic stuff I have frankly ever seen directed at me in my life.”

• Trump made it clear he likes strong leaders like Putin:
I believe he would include Hitler in his strong leader list too.

• My Opinions:
- Trump is not another Hitler.
- I do not think there will be mass executions in the US under Prez Trump.
- I do think he will give the “alt-right” a huge platform to spew their hatred of everything non-White and non-Christian.
- With a powerful national platform, the alt-right will begin a program of denigrating and removing rights from those they hate.
- I do think they may become a big enough power that politically Trump will be unable to control them because it might anger his base.
- Some people believe there may only be a 5% chance these horrible predictions will come true.
- Some people believe there is a 95% chance these horrible predictions will come true.
- I believe there is a 50% chance these horrible predictions will come true.
- So my preparations are like insurance. If the bad stuff does not come true, I wasted a lot of energy and a little money, but no one got hurt in the process. For example, 1.) I just joined the ACLU for the first time, 2.) I just donated to the ADL for the first time, 3.) I just donated to Planned Parenthood for the first time.
- If they do begin to come true, I will be better prepared… even if it means going all the way.

Things Some Conservatives Are Delusional About

Things some conservatives are delusional about:

1. DEMs are trying to take their guns away.
Every year Obama was President, conservatives railed that he was going to try to take away their guns. In 8 years he never tried; he never even considered it.

2. The Presidential election is rigged.
Now that Trump won, conservatives still cannot admit the election was not and never will be rigged.

3. Obamacare hurt them.
Most conservatives get their health insurance either through their employer or Medicare, neither of which were touched by Obamacare. Most conservatives really have no idea what Obamacare is or how it works.

4. Police Unions are Good, All Other Unions are Bad.
Defending a policeman who shoots an unarmed man is fine. But defending a teacher who has worked in her local school for 30 years at very low pay is bad. I just don't understand how educated people can think this way.

5. The media is biased against Trump.
This one takes the cake. Without the media, Trump would never have become such a well known figure and certainly would never have won the GOP primary. If the media is biased in any way, it's towards covering anything dramatic rather then things really important to all of us.

The Green Movement

In a great book "Getting to Green, Saving Nature: A Bipartisan Solution" by Frederic C. Rich (2016), he asks a good question using flag burning as the backdrop:

"Flag burning, for example, is largely tolerated by the left as an act of free speech, but generates considerable ire on the right, which sees it as an open and notorious act of disrespect to the nation...

Why, I wonder, do these same conservatives who abhor flag burning not take equal offense at open and notorious acts of desecration to the physical fabric of the nation itself?...

I have found it deeply ironic, and occasionally offensive, that in recent years right-wing groups like the Tea Party have used images of amber waves of grain and majestic purple mountains as patriotic symbols, yet they oppose most attempts to protect and preserve these symbols in the real world."

I encourage everyone to read this book. It tries hard to reconnect the Conservative Movement back to its roots of protecting the land for future generations.

Primaries - Democrats and Republicans vs Independents

Democrats and Republicans are clubs. Each spends a great deal of time and money on communications, primaries, etc. for the benefit of their members. People can join any club; it’s voluntary. There are other, smaller, political clubs including Libertarian, Green, Socialist and others that people may join.

It seems more and more, Americans are choosing not to join any club and call themselves Independents. That is of course their right. But when Independents (who do not belong to any club) complain they cannot vote in one of the club’s primaries, it sounds like whining to me. There is no reason they should be allowed to vote in a club’s primary they are not a member of. For example, why would Republican club members want Democratic club members to be able to vote in a State’s GOP primary, perhaps just so they could vote for a “weak” GOP candidate?

Independents are welcome to not join any club. They still get to vote in the general election. BUT, if they want to vote for a candidate in the primaries, they need to be a member of one of the clubs. If they want, they could create their own club. Perhaps create an IND-DEM club for liberal leaning Independents and an IND-GOP club for conservative leaning Independents. This year, the IND-DEM club could have nominated Bernie Sanders so he could run in the general election.

My message to Independents -
I respect your right to vote. Your vote is equal to mine. But if you want a free ride by piggybacking on my Democratic club without helping to support all the work necessary to put on primaries and vote year after year for Democratic candidates, go take a hike!

P.S. Bernie Sanders does not have the strength of his convictions. He is a self-professed Socialist. But instead of running as a Socialist in his State, he has run as an Independent for 30 years (is he ashamed of being a Socialist?). Now he wants to use the infrastructure of the Democratic Party, where he has never belonged, to run his national campaign. He too can go take a hike!

Religion and Women

I cannot tolerate how certain religions (or sects within a religion) treat women as subservient and limit their freedom and educational opportunities. This means I do not approve of these religions:
1. Islam
2. Ultra-Orthodox Judaism
3. Note: The leadership of the Catholic Church is a men’s club that suffers from many of the same misguided traditions of not allowing women into their management, but at least this religion does not limit women’s rights outside the church hierarchy.

There are many nice people who practice these religions, but I do not approve of their traditions of not allowing women to make their own decisions in life. In my opinion, these religions believe in a form of slavery simply because men like being dominate and controlling. I very much hope the traditions around women in these religions are doomed to the dustbin of history.

Politics and Friends

My and my wife’s 10 closest active friends are about half politically liberal and half conservative. We have political conversations every once in a while, but they don’t dominate. The only thing that sticks out in my mind over the past 4 years is many of our conservative friends have said they “hate Obama”. That sticks out because during Bush’s 8 years as President, I don’t remember ever saying, or thinking, I hate him. I didn’t support any of his policies and think he ruined America for at least 10 years going to war with Iraq and eliminating the financial regulations that led to the 2008 financial collapse… still I never “hated him”.

Our conservative friends’ positions hasn't stopped us from really liking them and wanting to socialize with them. And as far as I can tell, our liberal positions hasn't stopped them from liking and wanting to socialize with us.

BUT WHAT IF WE WENT DEEPER?

I assume my conservative friends all want the following to happen in America and vote for candidates who support these positions:
  1. Reduce the current safety nets for the poor to the bare minimum (way below where they are now).
  2. Never raise the minimum wage (maybe eliminate it).
  3. Dramatically reduce federal regulations in the areas of banking, water and air pollution, land use, energy efficiency, etc.
  4. Give a higher priority to voters in the suburbs and rural areas of the country vs inner cities. Perhaps have more Congressional Districts in rural and suburban areas than in big cities (that is, assign Districts by land area not population). In other words, not maintain the ideal of one person, one vote, and give higher priority to the white voter vs the non-white voter.
  5. Eliminate Obamacare and go back to the way health insurance was. And certainly never have Medicare for everyone (single-payer system).
  6. Do nothing about climate change.
  7. Increase the use of oil and coal and eliminate all incentives for renewable energy.
  8. Reduce the tax rate on people making over $250,000 per year.
  9. Reduce the influence of the Dept. of Education (perhaps eliminate it).
  10. Make all abortions illegal and jail any doctor who performs one. Perhaps jail the mother too.
  11. Make most birth control devices/meds illegal.
  12. Ban stem cell research.
  13. Deport as many illegal immigrants as possible and keep the remaining as illegals forever.
  14. Roll back any relationship with Cuba.
  15. Do not spend money on repairing the country’s infrastructure.
  16. Require all Americans invest their Social Security payments into private investments. Perhaps do away with Social Security.
  17. Weaken unions as much as possible. Perhaps eliminate all public unions (except Police unions of course).
  18. Encourage the use of Christian dogma in government.
  19. Eliminate all barriers to buying a firearm. Allow the sale of any fully automatic weapon.
  20. Allow carrying a firearm anywhere.
  21. Make same sex marriages illegal.
  22. Expand prayer in schools.
  23. End support for Planned Parenthood
  24. End all support for “equal pay for women”

If all of the above came to pass in America, I would be horrified. I might take up arms or leave the country (and conservatives might say “good riddance” :)

So how far should close friends go discussing the differences between liberals and conservatives? Should we discuss them more? Or would that just lead to lost friendships and even less understanding between us?

What do you think?

Bernie Supporters Partly to Blame

The majority of the ardent young Bernie supporters almost never voted in the off-year (non-Presidential) elections of 2010 and 2014. They are partly to blame for the country being in the shape it is today. They allowed the GOP to win the Senate, House and most State positions. That’s why we can’t raise the minimum wage, or strengthen unions, or create jobs rebuilding our infrastructure, etc.

  • If Bernie wins the Presidency, but the GOP maintains their majorities in the Senate and House, he will accomplish nothing.
  • If Bernie does not win the nomination, and his supporters go back to thinking politics doesn't matter so why bother voting in November, they again will be partly to blame for what comes next.
Note to the young liberals: If you want the respect you think you deserve from the Democratic Party, then show up and vote every 2 years.

Who Gets to Vote in Primaries?
Bernie Sanders knew Independents would not be able to vote in many State Primaries when he chose to run as a Democrat almost two years ago. If you’re angry you couldn’t vote for him in your State’s Primary, blame Bernie! He could have run as an Independent, won the Inde Primaries, and then run for President against the DEM and GOP candidates (as Ross Perot did in 1992 and 1996). But Bernie chose to cut out Independents…

Democrats Shooting Ourselves in the Crotch

With the GOP in complete disarray in 2016, the DEMs have an amazing opportunity to come together and win the Presidency as well as get back the Senate and perhaps even the House. And of course more Supreme Court Justices. But as liberals so often do, we can’t see the forest for the trees.

Hillary Clinton has been fighting the liberal fight for 30 years, and all of sudden, she isn’t liberal enough. That’s crazy. It seems the bulk of Sanders' supporters are young liberals who haven’t ever helped the cause. While their elders have been voting and supporting Democrats the past 10+ years, many Bernie supporters have been staying home and thinking “politics is boring”.

And now that they have a candidate to cheer for, they couldn’t care less that splitting the party will kill any chance of winning big in November. They like being able to rail against something… anything.

It’s so true that we liberals have very little discipline. And that “wild streak” always keeps us from achieving the wonderful things we could in America. We’re like teenagers who want to go to their friend’s party because it will have booz… never thinking about whether driving home drunk may have dire consequences. Why worry about the consequences… just do what feels good.

Very sad for the progressive movement and America,
JJS

P.S. Perhaps even worse than the young Bernie supporters who just don’t know how change in America comes about (a piece at a time), are those who should know - like Susan Sarandon who wants to stick her finger up at the establishment even if it means the GOP will keep control of the Senate. How she came to hate Hillary Clinton is a shame - Hillary is not the enemy, the GOP is! But people like Sarandon want a socialist America; one that looks a lot like Cuba. She, like Bernie, are not Democrats, they are Independents who want a revolution… and look what that did to the Cuban middle class!

Sanders supporters don't believe this;
they believe it's their way or the highway;
so the GOP wins.

The Changing America - No Stopping It

Just like America went from almost all Protestants to Protestants being less than 50%…
it is going from almost all white to whites being less than 50%.

No matter how angry those fearful of this change get, it is going to happen. I suspect there will be a lot of violence the next few decades as “macho whites” blame everyone else for their own shortcomings. They will never accept they caused their own place in America’s system. While many of them didn't work very hard getting a good education, the immigrants coming to America are working their tails off getting good educations.

Like it or not, after 2025, the current form of the GOP will never win another national election (or perhaps sooner). And probably after 2040, they will stop winning Statewide elections. America, through its new immigrant populations, will finally completely leave its Wild West roots behind (that macho whites want to hang onto) and move into its more "Community" phase. The cattle ranchers will fade away, and the sheep farmers will take over.

Check out this book just published on this topic:
"The End of White Christian America" by Robert P. Jones (2016)

1776:
Protestants = >90%

2015:
Protestants =       46%
Catholic =            21%
Other Christian =   3%
Non-Christian =     6%
Unaffiliated =        24%

Let Ideas, Not Gangs, Compete

A great article on CNN by Marc J. Randazza. See excerpt below:
www.cnn.com/2016/03/12/opinions/defend-trump-free-speech-opinion-randazza/index.html

Marc J. Randazza is a Las Vegas-based First Amendment attorney and managing partner of the Randazza Legal Group.
——————————————————————————————————————-

It is a fair opinion to think Trump's speech is offensive, problematic, or hateful. But, the First Amendment requires neither tact nor politeness. It requires that we permit all views to set up stalls in the marketplace of ideas, and we let that marketplace decide which ideas prevail. That is why it is called "the marketplace of ideas," not "the marketplace of gangs beating each other up."
Would Trump similarly stand up for the rights of others? I doubt it. But that is not the point.
If you don't stand up for Trump's liberty today, someone may come for yours tomorrow.
If we believe in free speech, we need to believe in Trump's as well.
• The richest Wall Street banker must side with Occupy when the cops attack them.
• Parents of mixed-race children must side with the KKK when they are attacked.
• Even Illinois Nazis should stand up for Jews if someone tries to silence them with violence.
Dammit, this is the United States of America, and there is room for the entire spectrum of political discourse.
And no matter how right you think you are, you are never so clearly right, never so without fault, never so pure, that you have any moral authority to shut down the other side with violence. When you do that, the eventual result is that he who brings the bigger guns will win the debate.
That is not what America is all about.

Are You Angry About US Illegal Immigration?

If you are angry about illegal immigration in the US, you are way off target if you direct your anger towards the Mexicans who cross our border.

White American businessmen are hiring and paying every illegal immigrant in the US. They are the culprits who got us in this mess. They stand up and rage about US immigration policy, and then they go back to work and encourage illegal immigration to get the cheap labor.

If you're white, middle class and up, and live in Texas, Arizona, California or Florida, you likely have friends who are hiring and paying the illegal immigrants. It's your friends who you should yell at. They are to blame for encouraging Mexicans to cross our border for work.

"The U.S. Department of Labor has confirmed to CNN that between 2013 and fall 2015, Trump's Mar-a-Lago club posted 250 seasonal job openings and filled just 4 of those jobs with American workers. The club requested the rest of the staff be temporarily imported through the Federal government's H-2B visa process. Basically, Mar-a-Lago brings in its seasonal staff from overseas."

Spotlight - On the Catholic Church

The Catholic Church should be shut down for repairs until every priest who molested a child is drummed out of the Church (and their names made public), as well as all the Bishops and Cardinals who knew about it and hid what the priests were doing. Let’s make America clean again!

Important to Elect a Democratic President in 2016

This Fall by electing a democratic President we not only get a chance to continue the humane and science-driven federal government direction for another 4 years… but we also get to replace a backwards (and selfish) thinking Supreme Court judge with a reasonable one. America will take a big step forward in living up to the founding father’s ideals.

And if the Democrats also take back the Senate, just think, we might be able to have:
1. Voting rights restored for all!
2. Planned Parenthood support restored!
3. Global warming addressed!
4. A Federal infrastructure program creating millions of jobs!
5. Avoid bigger deficits from a GOP tax reduction!
6. And… once again become a beacon of light for the world!

WOW!
